Howdy, friends.
I’m feeling so excited and inspired this week – largely because I’ve implemented a new workflow for my business, and I think it’s actually working. I’m alternating between production and admin weeks, which means I’m getting things done at a good pace and feeling like my workload is *somewhat* manageable.
This shift has resulted in more brainspace for fashion and interiors. :’) Basking in clarity has even helped me finalize my summer wardrobe! I may or may not have invested in a few Tibi pieces that are going to change the game.
The implications of this?
My wallet needs a break
I will be saving money until further notice – for our Europe trip and for our house fund
Lastly, this means that I need to offload my shopping inspiration onto you guys. Shop my cart, so I don’t have to! You’re welcome!
INTERMISSION
Tibi launched their Fall 2024 collection this week, which includes a new range of fundamentals, and I’m drooling. My obsession with brown is being fed by collections like this, and I’m not mad. The color stories of this collection literally massage my brain.
Look how good this is!!
Some of my early favorites:
The brown winslows
Literally EVERYTHING in the ‘toffee’ color
The periwinkle slip dress from the runway
The oversized blue gabe shirt — especially paired with that dark chocolate brown sweater
Cape dressing
WHAT’S IN MY CART
wide leg pleat pants - balsam green \ ST. AGNI
I’ve been obsessed with this blue green color recently. I’ve also always wanted a pair of full-leg pleated trouser pants that ooze EASE and haven’t found them yet. These pants from St. Agni check all the boxes if you’re looking to invest.
mid century 1951 modern italian shade table lamp \ ETSY
There’s just something about a lamp. While I’m in my current living situation, I’m taking note of what I want my future home to look like and what gaps I need to fill. While I do have a solid lamp collection, I’m aching for a couple more modern options. This vintage table lamp from Etsy speaks to me deeply.
engineering paper | ETSY
My friend Carolina is an artist and is always dabbling in something cool. Like me, she appreciates the paper arts. We were galavanting around the farmer’s market last Saturday and stumbled into a local stationery store. Carolina asked if I had ever used engineering paper or old office ephemera for note-taking, drawing, etc. I responded that I’d held on to some of my grandfather’s old stationery but other than that, no. My interest was then PIQUED. And I was inspired to delve into this world of old ledgers, graph paper and onion peel paper.
Notes are more fun and more meaningful when they’re made on vintage paper, and that’s just a fact.
active knit winslow pants in brown | TIBI
Tibi just dropped their new fall fundamentals line, and I’m unwell. These brown winslows are at the tippy top of my list.
The winslow pants are simply fantastic. I got my first pair made from a heavier-weight fabrication last winter, and I’ve been eyeing another pair ever since. The ease and comfort of these pants are unmatched and make any outfit instantly COOL.
vintage mid century studio pottery bowl | ETSY
I love mid century pottery. And incase I hadn’t already mentioned it, I’m also super drawn to browns of any shade at the moment. This vintage bowl speaks to me. Check out all the cool stuff on Autodramatic’s Etsy shop 🤌
fine pleat long sleeve shirt in silver | ST. AGNI
Sheer garments are still having their moment. This sheer silver shirt from St. Agni is perfectly cool and sexy at the same time. Plus that neckline is GOOD. I’d style this with a dusky blue lyrca skirt, my navy liam blazer and my new black georgia sandals. St. Agni is also having a sale right now, so snag this baby!
relaxed collar shirt in slate | ST. AGNI
The St. Agni sale clearly has my attention. I’m a bit wary to purchase because it’s a brand I’m unfamiliar with and all sale items are non-refundable. BUT if I had courage, I’d snag this gorgeous silk cotton shirt and pair it with this brownish red pair of H&M shorts I just got.
1960’s danish modern teak credenza | STILL JOHNSON
I could wax poetic about how much I love Still Johnson and how lucky we are to have such stellar designers in Birmingham. SJ is doing some really unique design work and their retail store is like stepping into a teensy corner of their magial world. This 1960’s teak credenza is INCREDIBLE. I see it in my dreams.
london fog navy trench | EBAY
I’ve been thinking a lot about how classic and pragmatic trench coats are ever since I visited Chicago in April. Their shape is architectural – drawing the eye perfectly up from the hem but exuding ease with how much movement it conveys. They repell water; Can be manipulated and made warmer with shells; You can fold them up tightly to fit in your luggage. Are trench coats the perfect garment?? I have a dark green vintage LL Bean trench that I got on Ebay years ago, and it’s earned its rank as one of the most pragmatic pieces in my wardrobe. I may try to snag a navy one before my Europe trip in August 👀
rosle stainless steel salad spinner | AMAZON
I don’t have a salad spinner. And I feel like I desperately need one. Life is too short for wet lettuce. My question though is WHY. Why are salad spinners so pricey? I will gladly spend $80 on a garment or accessory, but when it comes to kitchen tools, I would rather spend money on anything else. This stainless steel one looks chic – as much as a salad spinner can be such a thing. It also won’t harbor bacteria and mold like the plastic ones. This will likely be sitting in my Amazon cart for the rest of eternity.
vintage 1930s metal file tray | ETSY
We rearranged our home office last weekend, which has reinvigorated my decorating spirit. We moved my desk to the opposite side of the room and created a cozy seating area made more lovely by our new record player (drop your favorite records in the comments!). I unearthed one of my grandfather’s old filing cabinets in the garage, cleaned it off and finally have somewhere to store all of my productivity accouterments. A file tray for my desk would be a great friend for the filing cabinet – catching all of my timely documents, receipts and lil knick-knacks. This red metal tray may be coming home to me….
white ribbed cutaway tank top | BANANA REPUBLIC
Few things feel as chic as a crisp white ribbed tank in the summertime. Whether it’s peeking out of an oversized button up or worn alone with a slinky black skirt, a white ribbed tank communicates confident simplicity. I have a cropped one from Target that I bought years ago, and I find myself wearing it under things constantly. I should probably upgrade to a full length one at this point.
cafe serving tray | CIVIL STONEWARE
Another talented Birmingham creative! Civil Stoneware is owned and operated by potter Katherine Tucker and her studio is located in the Civil Rights district here in Birmingham. Her pottery is wonderfully organic, boasting gorgeous colors like this ‘rojo’ shade.
skinlike mercerized wool soft sheer pullover | TIBI
The color story of Tib’s fall fundamentals are dreamy, as evidenced above. Are you kidding me with this ‘apricot green???’ The color combined with the neckline and fit are phenomonal. This would be a perfect transitional piece – worn alone with shorts, skirts and pants OR worn under bulkier pieces as a base layer.
gem sunlight shade | TULIP
I was watching Ethan Gaskill’s office makeover video on Youtube when I discovered these incredible light fixture shades. No wiring involved!! You literally pop the shade over your ugly boob light fixture and adhere the top of the shade to the ceiling. And boom! You have a gorgeous and sumptuous light that looks way more expensive than it is.
My painful restraint is your happiness! Happy shopping!
xoxo

I love that lamp! I have a vintage Burberry trench and a vintage red London Fog one that I love.
